Lee Haroun, co-author, Introduction to Health Care
“Your comments, including suggested content changes and updates, have been spot-on — probably the best copy editing I’ve seen on any of my textbooks over the years. Thanks so much for the great work!”
Jane Ball, RN, DrPH, and Ruth Bindler, RNC, EdD, authors of Pediatric Nursing: Caring for Children
“It was our great good fortune to have Donna as our developmental editor. Her editing gives the book a uniform voice. She assured consistency, focusing on the total book when we could only focus on an individual chapter. Words do not come close to describing how valuable her contribution was to this edition.”
Karen Davis, project development editor, McGraw-Hill Medical
“Donna is not finished until her work is perfected. She is a delightful person, who pleases authors and always improves their work. She is well acquainted with the material she edits and can add her own creative writing whenever a hole in the manuscript needs mending.”
Jeannette E. South-Paul, MD, editor of Current Diagnosis & Treatment in Family Practice
“I had the privilege of working with Donna to prepare a 70-chapter textbook for publication. Her superb editing skills, attention to detail, familiarity with scientific material, and ability to negotiate with busy clinicians and scientists helped us achieve consensus under pressure while producing a professional text. I recommend Donna highly to other authors and hope to work with her again soon!”
Bill Hay, Jr, MD, editor of Current Diagnosis & Treatment in Pediatrics
“Thanks very much for this much work and attention to detail. Really, the best editing we have had in years.”
Sylvia Weber, development editor, Fairchild Books
“[Donna’s] commitment to the educational value of every project has given all of them marketing value to the publisher. Her copyediting is meticulous, and she has a talent for guiding authors to share their expertise in language appropriate for their intended audiences. Her insightful queries respectfully encourage authors to check the accuracy and currency of their writing.”
Andy Reilly, PhD, co-author of Men’s Fashion Reader
“Thank you so much for your patience and thoughtful comments while editing this manuscript… The book would not be the fine document it is without your dedication and work.”
DAK Kopec, PhD, author of Environmental Psychology for Design
“Donna was the editor of my book, Environmental Psychology for Design. I found her not only to be incredibly meticulous and conscientious but also to have a wonderful sense of humor, which contributed immeasurably to the development of the book.”
AESTHETICS & DESIGN
John Adams Building | Library of Congress
I’ve included information about the John Adams Library of Congress building here and here in this website. As the modern library continues to evolve into an information hub with a digital archive that in some places has supplanted physical bookshelves, this “bookstack” and other buildings like it are reminders of countless serendipitous discoveries made “searching the stacks” of public libraries, large and small. Repositories of knowledge, these resources support, protect, and promote the development of curious minds.
